Training on Teaching Learning and Assessment for Quality Education





A four-day-long training on ‘Teaching Learning and Assessment for Quality Education’ was held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of SUST organized the training program for newly appointed teachers.
Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, SUST graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Md Ashraful Alam, Director, IQAC, SUST presided over it. Professor Dr Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Bangladesh Accreditation Council; Professor Dr Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary, Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council; Professor Dr S M Saiful Islam, President, SUST Teacher’s Association, SUST; Professor Dr Mohammad Abdul Munim Joarder, Head, Economics, SUST and Mr Mohammad Samiul Islam, Assistant Professor, Public Administration, SUST were the resource persons at the training program. In the closing ceremony, Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of SUST was the chief guest and Professor Dr. Md Anowarul Islam, Treasurer, SUST act as a special guest. Professor Mohammed Anwar Hossain, Additional Director, IQAC, SUST was the coordinator of that program.
38 newly appointed teachers of SUST are participating in the training. Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said that University is an institute that can change the whole country. Therefore, I have not compromised the appointment of teachers to protect the interest of the university. All of us have to work according to the interest of the university as it does not hurt. If we can give quality education to the students, they will become the resources of the country.
In the closing day, there was an opening session. In this session, new teachers discussed various issues with Vice Chancellor and Treasurer of SUST.
