Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Way to Accreditation
A two-day long workshop on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Way to Accreditation was held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology under the auspices of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with all teachers and officers who are the chief of various offices of the university were present here.
The workshop was held on February 9 and 10 from 10:30 am in the seminar room of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) during the Covide-19 period.
SUST Vice Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the workshop whereas IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam presided over it. The treasurer of the university Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Islam was present as the special guest.
Speaking as the chief guest, SUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said, “Everyone in the university has to follow a rule.” New policies are being introduced for teachers. We are hiring quality officers to do the administrative work well. Officers have been trained before at the initiative of IQAC. Computer training will be provided to all the officers by providing one computer each.
He further said that SUST is number one among 48 public universities in terms of transparency and accountability. In particular, SUST’s accounts are first among all public universities in terms of transparency.
He also said that UGC has given us the approval of the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) for teachers training. SUST will be the hub of all universities in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. The future budget of the university will come on the quality and efficiency of the work of the university. We are doing a lot to improve the quality of the university but we still have some shortcomings.
