Workshop on Scientific Report Writing
A four-day long (2, 3, 6 & 9 Dec) workshop on ‘Scientific Report Writing’ was held with junior teachers under the auspices of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
The last day’s workshop started at 10:30 am on Wednesday (December 9, 2020) in the seminar room of IQAC. Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest.
Speaking as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said, ‘As good crops come from good seeds, so good students come from good teachers. So we did not compromise on the appointment of teachers. We want to build our teachers in such a way that they have their own identity.’
“Even after a lot of good work, we are lagging far behind in the rankings,” he said. So the university website should always be updated. Because the website is a reflection of the university.
Addressing the teachers, SUST Vice-Chancellor said, “The big task of the university at present is to further enhance the skills of teachers-students and staffs.” That is why there is no alternative to training. So the training will be done on the subject that needs to be trained to increase the skills.’
SUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Md Anwarul Islam was the special guest while IQAC Director Professor Dr. Md Ashraful Alam act as chair.
The resource person for the workshop was the head of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering Professor Dr. Md. Muhshin Aziz Khan, head of the Department of Economics Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Munim Joarder, Professor of the Department of Chemistry Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Khan and the head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Dr. Shamim Ahmed.
